An active alarm and a delivered notification are separate outcomes. If the alarm appears locally but no one receives it, trace event routing, roster selection, and delivery status. Do not test by repeatedly creating real production faults.
Notification features depend on installed modules and configuration.
What is happening?
Notification systems connect alarm events to profiles, pipelines, recipients, and schedules. Filtering, delays, acknowledgments, and escalation rules can intentionally affect delivery. Product test tools help distinguish configuration problems from transport failures.
Check these five things

Worked example

The mistake to avoid
A successful test email from a settings page does not prove that a real alarm reaches the right roster and escalation path. Validate the end-to-end route with controlled events.

Record event, recipient selection, delivery outcome, and escalation timing for an approved test. Make failure diagnostics visible so notification outages do not remain silent.
